COCKTAIL HANDBOOK
DON'T DRINK AND DESIGN
For our final project in a Communication Design course, students were prompted to create hand-bound books on any topic. Being a fan of a good cocktail and having practiced hand typography as a hobby, I decided to create a book on drinking culture and cocktail recipes taking cues from the typographic style of chalkboard writing in bars. The result is a book that tells the narrative of modern drinking using a mix of styles and layouts, but retaining central visual themes like the wood grains on the cover and inside spreads.
